Manually creating a back up data is the most used method today, even though its slow.  Time spent on creating a backup data is cut in half with the remote data backup software. The latest software is even sensitive to the need to conserve bandwidth. This allows you to continue to work while it backs up your information by running in the background.

Good records guide a successful industry, thus a good backup software is a necessity. Safety in the ordinary storage of information seems to be inadequate with the rising number of computer geniuses. There seems to be an on-going race as to who would reign the computer industry thereby pushing the prices to the ground. As a result, the demand for backup softwares has also increased.

Computer users tend to have duplicate data on their computers, estimates say its over 80% duplicate on corporate computers. Source based data deduplication, unlike traditional backup methods, can save about 90% bandwidth and storage space.

Though a remote data backup program and access to servers as well as other applications it is convenient for employees backup all their critical data. The creation of a backup for the email client must come primary in terms of data storage. One of the main reasons to protect your data is that laptops are frequently stolen or lost while traveling.

A key element to ensure a wider market is a reliable data backup program. It reduces the possibility of intellectual property theft and/or loss. Be sure that your remote data backup program has the correct features before implementing it into your company since it is going to be protecting all you critical data.

IFRS and Indian Business Environment

Indian corporates are likely to reap significant benefits from adopting IFRS.

* Improvement in comparability of financial information and financial performance with global peers and industry standards. This will result in more transparent financial reporting of a company’s activities which will benefit investors, customers and other key stakeholders in India and overseas;
* The adoption of IFRS is expected to result in better quality of financial reporting due to consistent application of accounting principles and improvement in reliability of financial statements. This, in turn, will lead to increased trust and reliance placed by investors, analysts and other stakeholders in a company’s financial statements; and
* Better access to and reduction in the cost of capital raised from global capital markets since IFRS are now accepted as a financial reporting framework for companies seeking to raise funds from most capital markets across the globe. In addition to the above, there are several impediments and practical challenges to adoption of and full compliance with IFRS in India.
* The need for a change in several laws and regulations governing financial accounting and reporting in India. In addition to accounting standards, there are legal and regulatory requirements that determine the manner in which financial information is reported or presented in financial statements.
* There is a lack of adequate professionals with practical IFRS conversion experience and therefore many companies will have to rely on external advisers and their auditors. This is magnified by a lack of preparedness amongst Indian corporates as this project may be viewed simply as a project management or an accounting issue which can be left to the finance function and auditors .
* Another potential pitfall is viewing IFRS accounting rules as “similar” to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in India (Indian GAAP), since Indian accounting standards have been formulated on the basis of principles in IFRS However, this view disregards significant differences between Indian GAAP and IFRS as well as differences in practical implementation and interpretation of similar standards.

Given the current market conditions, any restatement of results due to errors in the conversion process would be detrimental to the company involved and would severely damage investor confidence in the financial system.

Today’s fast paced life has taken a heavy toll on both our minds as well as bodies. We simply don’t have time to relax. As a result almost everybody is gripped with tension and depression, which further makes us gloomy and we don’t feel like doing anything except for think and ponder. It decreases our work output, and at times we feel as if we are worthless souls, not capable of doing anything right. If not corrected at the right time, it can lead to severe depression and it can doom your career itself.

Motivational speakers can play a very vital role in such situations. A well written speech by a trained motivational speaker will not only uplift your spirits, but also motivate you to set goals in life. Positive thinking is encouraged, and any negative thoughts or inhibitions are removed. It improves productivity as well. Proper planning is done only when your mind is totally free and devoid of any tensions. The motivational speakers do exactly this. They bolster your spirits by narrating their real life experiences, and how they crossed the hurdles they faced in their lives.

Many multinational companies use motivational speakers to direct the energy of their employees in the right direction in order to improve productivity. The constant pressure to achieve tight deadlines and targets, drains employees’ energy and due to this the output is reduced. This is where motivational speakers come in, offering other resources to approach the same problem in a different manner.

Motivational speakers foster team work. They help to motivate the whole team to look at the problem in a different perspective and come up with a workable solution. They can help to change the attitude, and bring harmony in the whole team. The slow starters in the team should be trained in a different manner. They need individual counseling to catch up with the mainstream. Such individual attention can bring out wonderful results in addressing to their apprehensions and enabling them to give more than their best.

A good motivational speaker can virtually read the minds of his audience, and deliver his speech as the need arises. He has an eye on each and every member of the audience, and at times prods the mind by throwing in a question or two, which can turn into a lively discussion, in which everybody gets involved.

The traditional project manager role focused on the processes and tools needed to complete a project within a set budget and time frame. It no longer makes best business sense to develop a long-term plan and stick to it at all costs. Factors such as globalization, stricter accountability, employee development, change and risk management and unstable economic conditions all require that companies today have to be able to adapt quickly and to be flexible to succeed in tough economic times.

How does this impact on the project manager interview?

Project managers need to be flexible and adaptable. The change management process is essential to the success of a project.  Project manager interview questions will explore the ability of the candidate to quickly assess a new situation and adapt effectively to it. The project manager needs to fill the role of  coach, communicator and conflict and resistance manager with the team when change is introduced.

They need to be strategic thinkers who can successfully build strategies consistent with organizational beliefs, goals and plans. The project manager is required to consider not only the success of the project itself but also the success of the project outcome. What is the strategic impact of the project? The new role of the project manager requires a comprehensive knowledge of the strategy that the project is supporting and the ability to place the project in the context of an existing strategic plan.

Project managers need to come up with innovative ways of improving effectiveness and finding solutions to challenges. The project  manager should go beyond accepting and implementing the first solution that comes to mind. Solutions need to be found through the generation of ideas and possible alternatives in a creative manner and thinking out of the box can go a long way in finding workable solutions.  Expect interview questions that determine your willingness to be creative and inventive with both the initiation of a new project as well as the components of an existing project.

The modern project manager must be able to motivate and inspire confidence in the project team regardless of the difficulties and challenges they face. Leadership skills are key to successful project management. An effective project manager needs to lead though setting goals and using the most appropriate methods to guide and influence the project team towards goal attainment. Good leaders make team members feel they have a real stake in the project and encourage them to participate in meeting challenges. Interview questions will explore the ability to effectively structure a team, to implement and maintain good intra-team communication and to enhance team satisfaction. Encouragement and positive reinforcement are key to getting the team to effectively work together.

Project management tools and processes remain important but the emphasis has shifted in the project manager interview to an exploration of whether the candidate has these key project leadership skills.

After more than 3 years of development, Microsoft revealed on May 12, the new Office 2010, an upgraded and friendlier version of Microsoft Office 2007, with new features that were tailored to fit the employees needs.

One of the biggest improvements made to the Microsoft Office 2010 suite is the possibility to use Office Web applications in order to have access to your documents even if you aren’t at work. Microsoft made Web versions to be the most used applications in the office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. These Web versions offer basic features in order to handle your tasks and have the option of transferring your document back on your desktop from work for future changes.

Basically with an Internet connection, a device (PC, smartphone, notebook, etc.) and an Office 2010 suite, the user can work from where he wants, when he wants. Also, this new version permits multiple users to work simultaneously on the same document and at the same time to keep track on what the other colleagues are working on, no matter where he is located.

Microsoft Office 2010 also allows the user to access documents saved on server and work on them even if he is offline. All this can be done with the help of SharePoint Workspace 2010. The big plus is that all the changes made are automatically saved when the user comes online.

The new feature Sparklines from Excel 2010 delivers visual representation of data within the worksheet cell, in order to have more organized information about a business trend or process.

The Word application seems to have fewer improvements than other applications from Office 2010 suite and all are focused on design tools. The new OpenType typography feature permits to apply artistic effects, that before were available only for graphic designer who used Adobe Creative Suite or Quark.

With the Microsoft Office 2010, you can edit your PowerPoint presentations in such manner that your audience is going to be amazed. Even more, new feature allows the user to insert a video within the presentation slide directly from the web, just like embedding a Flash video on a regular web page. The user can adjust, add visual effects and even 3D effects to the video directly into the slide.

The PowerPoint presentation can be shared through a web browser without any previous setups, and only with the help of the new Broadcast Slide Show feature.

Also, Outlook brings in the new feature Outlook Social Connector, which allows the user to see updates from social network for contacts who are members. Quick Step feature allows the user to set up some rules and apply them to certain messages and also it has a predefined rule which allows the user to delete a message after replying to it.

Microsoft Office 2010 is available in both 32-bit and 64-bit editions, but the two of them can’t co-exist on the same device. These editions are compatible with Windows XP (SP3), Windows Vista and Windows 7.
