If you want a job badly, it is necessary that you are able to impress your employer-to-be from the start. You can do this by composing a perfect professional resume which the employer-to-be could read at less than 30 seconds and yield a strong, positive impression about your skill and the potentials you will be able to give to the employer-to-be.

Basically, there are three resume types with which you can apply, namely the chronological, the functional, and the hybrid. Each of them has its own advantages and disadvantages so you should select one that best suited your need. If you are applying for a job in which your past experience is relevant for it, you should use the chronological. This is because your most recent experience can be placed in the top and will be supported by previous experiences which are put below it. Hence an employer-to-be will know that you have the necessary experience and knowledge to do the job at the most optimum level. But if the job you desired has nothing or has only little to do with your work history, it is wise to use the functional. The functional enables you to highlight your current capability with the most intensive exposure as well hiding some drawbacks in your career. These drawbacks may be in the form of a period of unemployment, or the previous jobs which are not relevant to the current job bidding. If you want to highlight your current capability as well as present your past experiences, then it is the hybrid that you should choose.

After you had decided from those three options, you should pay more attention for the resume formats. There are no such works-for-all layouts though. However, the principle for this aspect is that it should be visually attractive and clear so that the employer-to-be will be encouraged to read it.
